Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to accurately assess the trauma history, emotional needs, and readiness for change in each patient.
• Create, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans centered around trauma recovery and personal growth goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping strategies in both individual and group therapy formats.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to synchronize approaches and ensure integrated care across mental health services.
• Deliver timely crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and heard.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, management techniques, and the resources available to assist in their recovery journey.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records that adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate regularly in case discussions, team meetings, and continued education to remain abreast of the latest therapeutic practices in trauma care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with trauma-related disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our client base includes trauma survivors from diverse backgrounds, each with unique stories and paths to recovery. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably specializing in trauma.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-specific disorders and an array of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate engagement in all patient interactions.
• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress scenarios.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications for efficient patient management.
• A team-oriented mindset that values collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in implementing trauma-focused therapy techniques and familiarity with contemporary treatment methodologies.
• Previous involvement in interprofessional collaboration and case management.
• A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 and 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
