We specialize in residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning installation, repair, and maintenance. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting and Payroll Specialist to manage daily financial activities, payroll processing, customer billing, and administrative support for our growing team. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay: $30.00 - $33.00/hour (depending on experience) 100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental & Vision (employee only) 401(k) with up to 4% company match 7 Paid Holidays per year Paid Time Off & Sick Leave (accrues at 1 hour per 30 hours worked) PTO Schedule: Year 1: 1 week (5 days) After Year 1: 2 weeks (10 days) After Year 2: 3 weeks (15 days) After Year 5: 4 weeks (20 days) Position Summary The Accounting and Payroll Specialist plays a key role in managing the company's daily financial operations, including payroll, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting. This position works closely with the owner and general manager to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth business operations. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll, calculate commissions, and handle related payroll reporting Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and customer account questions Prepare daily bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records Perform job costing, update pricing sheets, and track job progress Maintain customer records and database information Support month-end closing and prepare financial reports for leadership Process sales packets and warranty documentation Answer incoming customer calls and assist with scheduling service appointments Provide administrative support and assist with other office responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For 2-3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll experience Strong proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Experience processing payroll and understanding basic payroll tax requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment HVAC, construction, or service industry experience is preferred but not required What Success Looks Like Accurate and timely payroll processing Organized financial records and clean customer accounts Timely month-end financial reporting Effective management of billing, collections, and cash flow processes Positive customer experience through accurate scheduling and account support If you are a proactive, numbers-focused professional who enjoys working in a supportive small-business environment, we would love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Richards Heating & Air Repair, Inc.
