Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Overnight Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:30 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:30 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:30 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:30 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report access control concerns in accordance with site protocols. Support assigned post orders by maintaining a visible presence, handling security-related concerns professionally, and completing required reports and logs in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Possess a TSA-issued TWIC. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. A valid firearms permit is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
