Director of Corporate Development

ADP is hiring a Director, Corporate Development. Are you an investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory professional with experience evaluating acquisition opportunities, supporting M&A transactions, and developing analyses that inform strategic investment decisions? As Director, Corporate Development, you will provide support to the Corporate Development Group and Business Unit leaders on specific mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategic partnership initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, you will assist in identifying, analyzing, and executing potential acquisition opportunities in accordance with ADP’s strategic and financial growth objectives. Additionally, you will support corporate divestiture and other strategic investment activities as needed. The ideal candidate combines M&A-focused investment banking experience with strong financial, accounting, and analytical capabilities. You have hands-on experience developing and evaluating financial analyses, valuation models, and diligence materials, along with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and recommendations to senior executives and deal team members. You are intellectually curious, learn quickly, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Experience. You have 5+ years of relevant investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or financial advisory experience, including at least 2-3 years of direct M&A-focused investment banking experience, complemented by experience in transaction advisory, valuation, financial due diligence, or a related finance discipline. To Succeed In This Role Demonstrated M&A transaction experience supporting acquisition opportunities, including performing valuation and financial analysis, coordinating due diligence, and supporting transaction execution from initial assessment through close within an investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory environment, with substantive hands-on involvement in developing transaction analyses and materials. Strong financial acumen, including hands-on experience developing financial models, analyzing financial statements, applying valuation methodologies, and conducting financial due diligence. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience preparing financial and quantitative analyses. Excellent PowerPoint content creation, presentation, data visualization, and storytelling skills, with proven ability to communicate complex ideas and prepare compelling analyses, presentations, and business cases for senior executives and senior deal team members that drive decision-making. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels in a matrix environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented with excellent and consistent follow-through and proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Highly motivated, self-starting, intellectually curious individual with a strong desire to learn, the ability to quickly grasp complex financial and strategic concepts, and the ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of the overall acquisition team. You’ll have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
