Area Vice President of Business Development – HospiceFull Spectrum Search Group is a full-service healthcare recruiting agency specializing in post-acute leadership and healthcare administration. At Full Spectrum, our team of healthcare recruiters is dedicated to bringing exceptional operators and candidates together.We are working with a regional hospice provider to identify an Area Vice President of Business Development to lead sales strategy and census growth across three high-potential hospice branches in Iowa.This is a full-time, permanent, salaried position. You can expect a compensation package of $115,000–$130,000 base salary plus bonus potential, company vehicle stipend, and full benefits.What makes this position stand out:Focused, Manageable Scope: Oversee business development for a tight-knit, high-performing tri-branch region—no national travel required.Direct Leadership Impact: Lead and mentor a team of local DBDs and liaisons across Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Davenport.Stable Operator, Growth-Driven Culture: The company has strong clinical infrastructure and is investing in strategic market share expansion.Autonomy & Visibility: This role reports to the Regional VP of Growth and has a seat at the strategy table for go-to-market decisions.Tools & Resources Provided: Modern CRM tools, referral dashboards, dedicated marketing support, and a tenured clinical partner in each branch.Qualifications:5+ years of sales leadership experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare-related services.History of leading multi-site business development teams and achieving referral/census targets.Strong command of hospice eligibility, referral dynamics, and CMS compliance standards.Proficient in CRM reporting, growth analytics, and competitive market strategy.Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills with a focus on accountability and results.Willingness to travel regularly across the three Iowa branches.Responsibilities:Manage, coach, and develop a team of 6–8 marketers and liaisons across three Iowa branches.Develop and implement a regional growth plan aligned with company goals and local market dynamics.Analyze market share, referral patterns, and competitive positioning using CRM and industry tools.Support business development team in building deep referral relationships with hospitals, SNFs, case managers, and physician groups.Collaborate closely with branch leadership and clinical teams to ensure seamless handoffs and service excellence.Represent the company at local healthcare events, association meetings, and strategic networking functions.To learn more about this role, connect with us quickly by texting View phone number on click.appcast.io, chatting live at or emailing View email address on click.appcast.io over 29 years of collective experience, Full Spectrum has built management and leadership teams for some of the most prominent operators in the country.
