Position Overview

Mountain Top Cardiology Consultants is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient practice in White Plains, New York. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work within the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC), where you will play a pivotal role in managing patient care under the guidance of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director in our Cardiology Division.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role situated within a school facility, providing a unique setting to engage with a diverse patient population. The NP will work alongside a vibrant multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, registered nurses, and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance patient outcomes. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend, night, or call shifts required, promoting an ideal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Collaborating with cardiologists and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality outpatient care.
• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, developing personalized treatment plans.
• Providing specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services for patients presenting with abnormal ECGs, arrhythmias, and monitoring device patients.
• Managing acute conditions such as CAD, PAD, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and stroke.
• Facilitating and interpreting stress testing, ensuring appropriate follow-up care.
• Providing education and resources to patients and their families to promote health literacy and effective disease management.
• Making timely referrals to internal specialists within the practice as warranted.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The target patient demographic primarily includes individuals with chronic heart conditions, those at risk for cardiovascular disease, and patients requiring ongoing management for complex cardiovascular issues. The NP will serve a diverse patient population, ensuring culturally competent care tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A completed and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• A current and valid NP license to practice in New York.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing.
• Certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., Cardiology, Primary Care).

Preferred Experience

While both experienced Nurse Practitioners and recent graduates are encouraged to apply, candidates with previous cardiovascular care experience—either inpatient or outpatient—will be prioritized. Familiarity with outpatient cardiology practices, Electrophysiology, and patient case management will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
