Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and effectively evaluate patients’ health concerns.
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring appropriate interventions based on clinical judgement.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including medical imaging and lab work, to inform treatment decisions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ unique health needs and circumstances.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols and patient requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation with accuracy, utilizing ICD-9 coding for billing and records.
• Actively collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create coordinated care pathways.
• Provide education to patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve a diverse patient population, ranging from children to older adults. You will encounter a variety of urgent health issues, allowing you to use your skills across different specialties. Your role will involve providing swift assessments and interventions for conditions such as respiratory infections, minor injuries, and other acute illnesses, all while ensuring a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an urgent care or similar clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology, pediatrics, geriatrics, or memory care is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner.
• Ability to perform a range of procedures, including botulinum toxin treatments, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
