Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' medical histories to arrive at accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and episodic conditions, including but not limited to respiratory infections, minor injuries, and chronic health problems.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans while using evidence-based practices and guidelines.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring to educate patients on their treatment and potential side effects.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information management.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists, when necessary, and facilitate follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance clinic operations, workflow efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs aimed at maintaining a high standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult and pediatric patients seeking urgent care services, with varying degrees of health concerns ranging from minor ailments to more complex medical issues. You will leverage your clinical expertise to provide timely interventions, support chronic disease management, and ensure that every patient receives the attentive care they deserve. This role is pivotal in promoting a positive patient experience and managing patient flow within our clinic.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialty in Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• An active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• At least two years of clinical experience in urgent care, family medicine, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medical terminology, and treatment protocols.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

Experience in an urgent care or emergency room setting is highly advantageous, assisting you to efficiently assess and manage diverse acute conditions. Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
