Work Environment

This position thrives in an onsite work environment, primarily at the homes of clients located throughout Orlando. As a home health provider, you will adapt to diverse home environments, utilizing your expertise to evaluate, implement, and enhance treatment plans tailored to meet each client's needs. Your role will involve direct interaction with clients and their families, ensuring comfort and collaboration are at the forefront of our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the physical therapy treatment process, focusing on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function in alignment with personalized care plans.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they are effectively implementing treatment plans and providing high-quality care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional levels, using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and overall capabilities.
• Analyze home environments and recommend modifications to enhance clients' independence and quality of life.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy modalities, including manual exercises, traction, and other physical agents as appropriate.
• Regularly document clients' progress, changes in condition, and responses to therapy, providing timely updates to physicians and care managers.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences to refine and evaluate treatment strategies.
• Educate clients and their families on the use of physical therapy devices and the overall therapy process.
• Provide accessible support to Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatments, ensuring adherence to state regulations.
• Contribute actively to the development and refinement of comprehensive care plans through ongoing assessments and revisions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain conditions, and geriatric clients needing assistance with mobility and daily activities. Your interventions will significantly impact clients' overall well-being and rehabilitation outcomes, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Holds a current and valid PT licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• CPR certification must be current to ensure patient safety.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with clients, families, and team members.
• Demonstrates a commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience
