Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that effectively prevent disability, alleviate pain, enhance muscle functionality, and help patients maintain their maximum physical capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests and functional assessments, ensuring accurate and effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Instruct and motivate patients in a variety of therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, while consistently evaluating their progress and making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in treatment protocols, ensuring that care plans are executed properly while adhering to legal and safety standards.
• Document clinical findings and patient responses meticulously in clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to participate in case conferences, sharing insights and suggestions for optimizing patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families about physical therapy practices, including the use and care of assistive devices and the overall rehabilitation process.
• Observe any changes in patient conditions and report findings to the overseeing physician, contributing to the development and revision of comprehensive care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, as well as those recovering from surgeries or injuries. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Florida.
• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current certification in CPR.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
