Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, utilizing standardized tools and personalized interviews to understand each client's narrative and clinical presentation.

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic modalities that are culturally relevant and scientifically validated.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on coping strategies, resilience building, and symptom management tailored to the clients' needs, often through interactive and creative therapeutic exercises.

• Provide crisis intervention support and immediate assistance during mental health emergencies, ensuring clients’ safety and stability.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, understanding treatment options, and navigating community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in both documentation and practice.

• Participate in case conferences and actively engage in cultural competency training sessions geared towards enhancing team efficacy in understanding and serving diverse populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ clients and immigrants, who may face unique mental health challenges. Your ability to provide culturally affirmative therapy will be essential in establishing trust and fostering therapeutic alliances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Extensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies with a strong emphasis on cultural competence.

• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive practices.

• Strong crisis management skills and ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) technology and standard computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
