Role Overview We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Senior Account Executive with a proven track record in selling enterprise databases to expand our customer base throughout India. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles with enterprise clients. Responsibilities Aggressively build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across India Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting Develop and execute territory sales strategies to exceed revenue targets Build and nurture relationships with C‑level executives and key decision‑makers Collaborate with pre‑sales, product, and marketing teams to create compelling solutions Represent TiDB at industry events, conferences, and user groups Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape product roadmap A self-starter with a growth mindset who embraces challenges and continuously seeks improvement A team player who collaborates effectively while maintaining individual accountability Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities Strategic thinker who can build long‑term relationships while delivering short‑term results An individual who approaches the market with creativity and determination Qualifications 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years specifically selling database, data infrastructure, or related enterprise software solutions Proven hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to identify and capture new business Consistent record of exceeding sales targets and quotas A strong understanding of database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and data management challenges is highly preferred Experience selling to technical buyers (CIOs, CTOs, VP Engineering, Enterprise Architects) Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences Experience with open‑source software sales models Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or distributed database systems is highly preferred Prior experience at a database, cloud, or infrastructure company Experience working in a high‑growth technology company In this role you also will get the following: Opportunity to build and shape a powerful, industry‑changing database product from the get‑go Working with a global team of passionate (and compassionate) developers, hackers, and open‑source fanatics Competitive compensation package Meaningful equity in a fast‑growing enterprise startup Opportunity to be a key player in our expansion in the Indian market Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative, innovative work environment We encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply.
