Director Of Human ResourcesCook County School District 130 is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and service-oriented leader to serve as our next Director of Human Resources. This position offers an opportunity to shape the employee experience by leading recruitment, talent management, employee relations, and personnel operations in a diverse K-8 school district committed to student success. Working closely with the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources plays a key role in attracting and retaining exceptional employees while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws and supporting a positive workplace culture.Primary Responsibilities:Lead districtwide recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives.Oversee employee personnel records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Support employee relations by assisting with investigations, grievances, complaints, and conflict resolution.Participate in collective bargaining and contract administration.Monitor educator licensure and employment compliance requirements.Maintain and update job descriptions and employment records.Partner with district and building administrators to provide strategic human resources guidance.Coordinate university partnerships and student teacher placements.Foster positive communication and collaborative relationships with employees, administrators, families, and community partners.Qualifications:Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administrative or Principal Endorsement.Minimum of five years of successful administrative or central office leadership experience in a school district of comparable size.Experience as a principal, director, coordinator, or similar leadership position.Strong knowledge of human resources practices, labor relations, collective bargaining, and employment law.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, solve complex personnel issues, and lead with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.Salary: Competitive salary: $106,500 $116,500, commensurate with experience. District-paid TRS contributions. 30 vacation days and 15 sick days annually.
