About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Commercial and Business Development to spearhead the growth and scaling of its commercial organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with driving revenue expansion, nurturing strategic customer relationships, and establishing a high-performing sales and marketing function. This pivotal role involves direct responsibility for new business generation, overseeing all sales and marketing activities, and playing a key part in shaping the company's commercial strategy. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in the packaging and containers industry, with a focus on paper packaging, and have experience in managing national accounts, particularly with large retailers and e-commerce platforms. Key responsibilities for the Head of Commercial include leading the charge in revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and maintaining a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs. The role also demands a leader who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and procurement, to ensure that commercial activities are in line with production capabilities. The Head of Commercial will be a core member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and must be adept at both strategic and tactical operations, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
