Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' histories and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Coordinate effectively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, ensuring every patient receives the support needed for successful outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating quick decision-making abilities and secure emotional support for patients.

• Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses and developing practical coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards of care.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings, enhancing the collaborative approach to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This may include veterans, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault survivors, and those dealing with catastrophic life changes. You will be working with diverse populations, ensuring that interventions are culturally responsive and sensitive to each individual's narrative and healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R) in New York state.

• Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably in trauma-focused therapy.

• Experience in providing group therapy and familiarity with facilitating support groups for trauma survivors.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
