Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Familiarity with self-contained classroom environments a plus
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passionate about advocacy and inclusion for students with diverse learning needs

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to middle school students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies to maximize student learning and growth
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, engagement, and independence
• Maintain clear communication with families, colleagues, and support staff
• Collect data to measure progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Participate in faculty meetings, ongoing professional development, and school events
