Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with middle school students with mild to moderate needs in a self-contained classroom setting. You’ll become an essential part of a collaborative campus, fostering curiosity, confidence, and achievement for a small caseload throughout the 2026–2027 academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active teaching credentials in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with mild to moderate disabilities
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Effective communication for engaging with students, families, and support staff
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in dynamic, team-oriented settings

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction based on each student’s IEP, adapting materials and strategies for optimal learning outcomes
• Support a caseload of 12 students in a self-contained setting, focusing on both academic and behavioral goals
• Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and service providers to support holistic student development
• Track and communicate student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records as required
• Cultivate an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and self-advocacy
• Engage in school activities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional learning

This full-time, Monday through Friday position runs from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027, with hours scheduled from 7:15am to 3:15pm.
