Make a meaningful impact supporting students with special needs in a supportive, collaborative school environment. Three full-time contract opportunities are open for dedicated Special Education Teachers interested in working on site at elementary campuses. Assignments are available for the upcoming school year, beginning July 27, 2026 and running through May 21, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week at one school per assignment.

Openings include:

• Mild/moderate caseload as a Learning Specialist
• Affective Needs position supporting students with significant emotional/behavioral disabilities, leading a small team of paraprofessionals
• Structured Learning Services supporting students with severe cognitive and behavioral needs in a self-contained classroom

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
• Prior experience in self-contained or station-based classrooms preferred for some positions
• Strong background in ABA principles, CPI, de-escalation strategies or other behavioral interventions for Affective Needs and Structured Learning Services roles
• Experience supporting students with autism and/or cognitive disabilities is essential for select roles
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including speech, OT, and psych service providers
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and people skills; positive personality fit with other services is a priority
• Must be able to complete time-sensitive district credentialing and documentation requirements prior to assignment start

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct instructional support to students in accordance with their learning needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed for student success
