Work Environment

You will work alongside a dedicated team of physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in a collaborative onsite environment. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a steady work-life balance, so our therapists have the opportunity to recharge and maintain their passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and establish individualized care plans based on their unique goals and physical conditions.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, managing a patient load of approximately one patient per hour to ensure focused, quality care.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities tailored to meet each patient's progress and functional goals.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their rehabilitation process, helping them achieve maximum attainable mobility and independence.
• Make clinical decisions about treatment modifications based on patient progress and outcomes, adjusting methods as necessary.
• Document all patient evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries thoroughly and accurately.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Engage in continuous education and training to enhance skills and stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your practice will involve working with a diverse range of patients, predominantly those with orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and mobility challenges. You will play a vital role in helping patients overcome barriers associated with their physical limitations, returning them to a lifestyle of independence and vitality.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices.
• Strong manual therapy skills and understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with manual therapy techniques and customizable exercise regimens.
• Experience in assessing and treating sports-related injuries.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding complex treatment options.

Compensation and Benefits
