Work Environment

You will work onsite in a friendly and collaborative rehabilitation facility where communication and teamwork are at the forefront. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a structured environment that values both professional engagement and work-life balance. You will be part of a supportive team that includes two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), allowing for peer collaboration and shared expertise to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand each patient's individual health goals, challenges, and functional capabilities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
• Manage a patient load effectively, with a mandate to see one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated, individualized care.
• Provide cost-effective treatment options that aim to reduce reliance on medications and prevent the need for surgery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Monitor patient progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal functional outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Engage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to maximize physical abilities and inspire long-term health improvements.
• Educate clients on health and wellness practices that promote improved strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on treating patients in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Our diverse client base ranges from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults working to regain their mobility post-surgery or due to chronic conditions. Each treatment plan will be customized to address the unique needs of the individual, ensuring that recovery goals are met effectively and compassionately.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Must maintain a clean professional record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficiency in the application of manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practice methodologies.
• Strong ability to develop tailored rehabilitation and exercise regimens for patients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate and educate patients about their rehabilitation journey.
• Prior experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
