Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of students while advancing your career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)! This full-time contract opportunity begins in early August and extends through early June, providing valuable stability within a dynamic school environment.
You'll work onsite supporting 70–85 students, primarily in group settings, alongside a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Depending on your assignment, your workday will start at either 7:30 am (elementary) or 8:00 am (secondary), wrapping up by mid-afternoon. With three positions open, you'll join a collaborative team dedicated to fostering student growth and communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Current Texas SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in groups and adapt to a diverse caseload
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working under supervision and eager to learn from experienced SLPs
Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct speech-language services to students as specified in IEPs
• Collaborate with your supervising SLP for planning and reporting
• Document sessions, progress, and student participation accurately
• Support implementation of individualized goals
• Help foster an encouraging, engaging, and inclusive therapy environment
