This position offers a flexible remote working arrangement within an outpatient office setting, enabling therapists to provide in-home and virtual therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in clients’ homes or at our outpatient facility, ensuring that treatment modalities align with best practices in family therapy.

• Implement evidence-based interventions to address anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies while reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Support caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills essential for managing in-home behavioral challenges, fostering a cohesive support system.

• Engage in regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive support for the child and family.
\n
• Document therapy interactions meticulously, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, submitted within specified deadlines.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations to further refine service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on working with children exhibiting developmental disabilities and those facing intellectual challenges. The therapist will be responsible for building trusting relationships to encourage open communication, which is essential for effective therapy. By understanding each child’s unique experience, you will guide them toward achieving their behavioral health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted License in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) is essential for consideration.

• Availability for at least 5-10 hours a week, particularly during the peak hours of 4-7 p.m. on weekdays; weekend availability is an added advantage.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory due to potential in-home visits.

• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure client safety.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions for children ages 3 to 20.

• Previous work within multidisciplinary teams that focus on children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
