Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required. Float coverage within facility system as needed. Call required.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit environment with mixed acuity levels including pre and post-surgical patients
• Daily census of 25-32 patients in a 32-bed unit
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome with manager review and approval

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, blood product administration, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and other advanced nursing skills
• Two professional references required (at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
