Accounts Receivable Accountant

Job Description Our independently owned homecare agency is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant. The primary responsibility is to support the finance department, manage accounts receivable, and producefinancial documents for the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand,adhere to, and apply generally accepted accounting principles. Process payments and documents such as invoices, employee reimbursements, and financial statements. Track expenses and evaluating budgets. Post financial data to accounts. As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system, and recommends updates to enhance that system. Create Excel spreadsheets with the appropriate formulas. Proficient in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual audits. Handle communication between the organization and clients. Maintain and improve the organization’s bookkeeping process. Draft and edit financial presentations, reports, and projections based on financial data. Evaluate current and previous financial data. Study business and economic trends. Gather information. Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies. Perform basic office tasks like filing, data entry, and mail processing. Conduct basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred. Havingan active certification as a Bookkeeper or Public Bookkeeper is a plus. Must be able to type and perform data entry. Reliable transportation. 10 years of experience in the field preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication.
