This role is 100% remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while utilizing secure telehealth platforms. As a telehealth counselor, you will be required to maintain a professional and supportive virtual presence, ensuring a safe and effective environment for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations to assess client needs and document their mental, emotional, and behavioral health status.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that include established therapy goals tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities to best support client recovery initiatives.

• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated care and effective intervention strategies.

• Manage referrals and follow up with other professionals regarding clients' health if they require inpatient care or additional support.

• Work on identifying and mitigating behaviors that hinder recovery, supporting clients in overcoming barriers to their mental health.

• Provide guidance to families and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to assist their loved ones in managing behavioral health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• A record of successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation and treatment records.

• Strong understanding of mental health conditions and the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals, especially in clients facing concurrent physical and psychological challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth setting, with demonstrated success in treating diverse populations.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethics.

Compensation and Benefits\n
