Legal Assistant

Coral Gables, FL | Full-Time | Onsite
$60,000–$75,000 DOE (depending on experience)

Join a well-established and growing law firm in Coral Gables seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice. What You'll Do

• Manage new client intake, engagement letters, conflict checks, and matter setup

• Prepare and draft legal correspondence, notices, proposed orders, and routine pleadings

• Handle electronic filings through Florida E-Portal, CM/ECF, and CourtMap

• Track court deadlines, monitor docket activity, and maintain litigation calendars

• Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and other case-related logistics

• Organize and maintain electronic case files and legal records

• Assist with discovery, subpoenas, records requests, and service of process

• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, hearing notebooks, and witness materials

• Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors

• Support attorneys with calendar management, time entry, and billing activities

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Litigation Assistant, or Paralegal

• Strong knowledge of Florida state court and/or federal court filing procedures

• Proven experience managing litigation deadlines and court calendars

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Intellectual Property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents

• Familiarity with Clio, CourtMap, PACER, NetDocuments, and Florida E-Portal

• Paralegal Certificate or equivalent legal experience

• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred
