Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of individual clients and their families to determine therapy needs and treatment approaches tailored to substance abuse issues.

• Participate in clinical staffing meetings, collaboratively developing and optimizing individualized service and treatment plans focused on family-centered care.
\n
• Facilitate individual, group, and joint therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and understanding environment for clients as they work towards recovery.
\n
• Develop and lead educational groups focused on substance abuse, mental health, and family dynamics, empowering clients with crucial knowledge and coping strategies.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, assessments, and other required patient records.
\n
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and community agencies to ensure seamless and comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Identify opportunities for program improvement and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
\n
• Maintain current knowledge of legal and ethical standards within the counseling profession, ensuring compliance with all requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Family Therapist in our clinic, you will specifically work with adults facing challenges related to substance use disorders. Your work will support individuals in crisis as well as their families, providing a holistic approach to treatment that strengthens familial relationships and supports behavioral change.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona is essential.
\n
• Minimum of two years of professional counseling experience is required, preferably in a clinical setting.

• Demonstrated specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred.

• A strong grasp of legal and ethical standards governing the counseling profession.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with diverse client populations.

• A proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies for documentation and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
