Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through both standardized testing and observational assessments.
Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at addressing both immediate concerns and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that enhance communication, language clarity, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing function.
Partner with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide educational resources and training for patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical visits.
Occasionally assess and deliver speech therapy in an inpatient environment, ensuring that each patient has a consistent continuum of care.
Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with their regulatory standards and best practices.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in speech-language pathology.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in applying evidence-based treatment methodologies for diverse age groups, coupled with a solid understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders, both developmental and acquired.
Exceptional interpersonal abilities for effective communication with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Flexibility to adapt therapy strategies to meet various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
