Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting a bright and energetic kindergartner in the Tinley Park, IL area. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about empowering students and making a meaningful difference through targeted fine motor skill development. This contract position focuses on providing specialized support just a few hours per week, with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
What You’ll Do:
- Work one-on-one with a highly intelligent kindergarten student on mastering essential fine motor tasks, such as pencil grip and hand-eye coordination.
- Assess needs and design fun, practical interventions tailored to a school environment.
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to ensure strategies are effective and seamlessly integrated into the student’s daily routine.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed for continued student success.
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of sessions and progress reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in school-based settings.
- In-depth knowledge of fine motor skill development and intervention strategies for young learners.
- Strong communication skills and a talent for engaging young children in learning activities.
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff.
- Flexibility with scheduling and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
