Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,473–$2,555 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:30) Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: Short-term acute care hospital cardiac unit Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care for cardiac patients, including post-operative and open-heart recovery care, according to established standards of care. Monitor patients, interpret data from telemetry and hemodynamic monitors, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans. Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and transition-of-care activities to ensure continuity post-discharge. Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff on the unit, maintaining a safe, healing environment and effective team communication. Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California or equivalent). BLS certification required; ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required. Minimum of two years of recent acute care experience, with cardiovascular/cardiac focus. Balloon pump/open heart recovery experience required. BSN degree preferred; ADN acceptable with relevant cardiac experience. Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and manage high-acuity cardiac patients.
