Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide counseling services and crisis intervention for clients facing emotional and behavioral challenges, applying evidence-based techniques and interventions.

• Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, developing personalized treatment plans that focus on achieving specific therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to communicate patient progress, discuss concerns, and address potential issues as they arise.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including progress notes and treatment records, adhering to departmental policies and legal requirements.

• Engage with community leaders and resource groups to represent Shirley Mental Health Services, attending meetings and participating in committees that address the broader social needs of our client population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health issues. Your role is vital in helping clients navigate their challenges, improve their coping mechanisms, and achieve their personal recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Must hold one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional counseling experience is necessary to ensure the expertise needed for effective client care.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth counseling or working with multicultural populations will be viewed favorably, as this aligns with our commitment to inclusivity and access to care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
