This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities. This position must meet tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and financial reporting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structureEnsure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closeEnsure the timely reporting of all monthly financial informationInitiate budget and forecasting activitiesMonitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracyInterface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issuesAdvise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactionsRespond to inquiries from the CEO regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the likeWork with the retained CPA firm to ensure a clean and timely year end auditEnsure all financial reporting deadlines are metAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the departmentProvide training to new and existing staff as neededWork with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staffEducation and Experience:• BA/BS Degree in Accounting and ten to fifteen years experience in all aspects of accounting and be well versed in issues encountered by ControllersAbilities and Skills:Strong leadership skills and proven supervisory experience.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work and interact with departments throughout the organizationMust be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).Must be able to multi-taskMust have exceptional verbal and written communication skillsMust exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.If you would like to see your career take flight, apply today!Aersale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
