Back Accounting Manager Accounting Winter Springs , FL Contract Aug 4, 2026 Job Type: TEMPORARY(6-9 months) Location: On-site- Winter Springs, FL 32708 Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday Hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm Compensation:$50-$55/hr Benefits: Vision, Medical, Dental Sanford Rose - JFSPartners is seeking an experienced Temporary Accounting Manager to provide hands-on leadership and support the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing engineering and manufacturing organization. This role will oversee the month-end close process, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, financial forecasting, and AP/AR functions while ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Manage inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, valuation analysis, and resolution of discrepancies. Review and approve complex account reconciliations to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, workload prioritization, and support throughout the close process. Prepare financial forecasts and assist leadership with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP revenue recognition standards, including review of contracts and proper revenue recording. Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring efficient processing, strong internal controls, and timely collections and payments. Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational and financial performance. Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Maintain and strengthen internal controls while identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Program Management, Contracts, and Executive Leadership to support financial reporting and business objectives. Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in managerial capacity, including experience leading month-end close. Prior experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or engineering environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition principles(ASC 606). Experience with inventory accounting and complex account reconciliations. Demonstrated experience overseeing AP/AR processes and supervising accounting staff. Advanced Excel skills and experience working within a large ERP system. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to quickly adapt to a new environment and contribute immediately in a temporary leadership capacity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
