Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT at Fort Behavioral, you will be responsible for a range of critical activities, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that align with the client’s individual needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.
• Educating clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their therapeutic journey.
• Monitoring client progress closely and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on outcomes and feedback.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care, including regular communication with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
• Staying updated on the latest research in mood disorders and therapeutic methods to continuously enhance treatment efficacy.
• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical regulations.
• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to foster a culture of growth.
• Acting as a client advocate, aiming to reduce mental health stigma and meet client needs with empathy and respect.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with individuals and families facing relationship challenges, especially divorce and associated emotional struggles. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Strong empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and challenges.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
