We support 100+ businesses across the Charlotte metro and the Carolinas with managed IT, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, cloud migrations, and IT project work. We are a Microsoft Partner. Our team is local, hands-on, and customer-facing. Clients know us by name, and we show up on site when the job requires it.

The Role :
We are hiring an Onsite IT Technician for customer-facing project and field work. This is not a remote-only desk role. You will be in client offices and server rooms, own pieces of projects from planning through delivery, and help bring new customers into NetSafe cleanly.

You will work inside customer Microsoft 365 tenants and related Microsoft applications, support PCs and servers, manage project work, talk to clients directly, and run onboarding for new accounts so they start with a solid foundation.

What You Will Do :
• Customer-facing onsite work at client locations across the Charlotte area (and occasionally farther in the Carolinas)

• Microsoft 365 tenant work: users, groups, licenses, Exchange Online mailboxes, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID basics, and day-to-day tenant administration

• Workstations and endpoints: setup, deployment, troubleshooting, printers/peripherals, Windows client issues

• Servers and infrastructure: Windows Server basics, Active Directory, file shares, backups, and basic networking as assigned

• IT projects: PC rollouts, server replacements, Microsoft 365 migrations, office moves, and infrastructure upgrades. Break work into tasks, keep status current, document what changed, and close cleanly

• New customer onboarding: stand up new clients the right way. Tenant and user setup, baseline configuration, documentation, hardware/site walkthroughs, and a clean handoff into ongoing support

• Tickets and communication: update tickets, log time accurately, set expectations with the customer, and follow through

• Teamwork: know when to escalate, hand off cleanly with context, and leave notes other techs can use

• Professional presence: represent NetSafe on site. Clear communication, calm under pressure, respect for client environments and data

What You Bring :

Required

• 2+ years in MSP, IT support, or systems administration (or equivalent hands-on experience)

• Strong Windows desktop skills and real Microsoft 365 / Entra tenant administration experience

• Comfortable working on site with clients and non-technical staff

• Able to manage your own day: prioritize tickets and projects, show up prepared, finish what you start

• Experience (or clear aptitude) running multi-step technical work end to end, not just single tickets

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (client visits are part of the job)

• Clear written and verbal communication

• Willingness to document work and follow process

Strongly preferred

• Deeper Microsoft 365 work beyond basic user admin (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)

• Project delivery experience (migrations, hardware deployments, multi-day site work)

• Customer onboarding or new-site stand-up experience

• Networking fundamentals (DHCP/DNS, basic switch/Wi‐Fi/firewall troubleshooting)

• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent real-world proof)

Schedule and Location :

• Based in the Charlotte area (Near Matthews)

• Primary hours roughly business day; occasional planned after-hours or weekend work for migrations and cutovers

• Mix of onsite, office, and remote work depending on the day and the project
