Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues. This includes identifying co-occurring disorders through questionnaires and clinical interviews.

• Develop individualized and actionable treatment plans in partnership with clients, incorporating evidence-based interventions that address both their mental health and substance use concerns.

• Deliver individual therapy sessions as well as group therapy to facilitate skill-building. This includes helping clients develop coping strategies, implement relapse prevention methods, and master emotional regulation techniques.

• Engage in case coordination with a multidisciplinary team, clearly communicating client needs and treatment strategies to ensure integrated care.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients’ engagement in their recovery journey, while actively monitoring their progress through regular substance use evaluations.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of treatment compliance and ongoing support.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation regarding treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals, while adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in regular staff meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment strategies, share best practices, and pursue professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This diverse client population may include adults from various backgrounds who are seeking to navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life. Your capacity to provide empathy, understanding, and tailored care plans will directly contribute to their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Expertise in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, with knowledge in Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A thorough understanding of the complexities and interconnections between mental health and substance use disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and strong rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
