Administrative Specialist Sr (Marketing) – Job ID: 322844– Location: Scottsdale Community College– Full Time– Salary: $19.26 to $25.04 per hour Regular schedule Monday– Friday, 8:00AM– 5:00PM; Summer Hours Monday– Thursday, 7:00AM– 6:00PM. Physical presence on campus required; possible partial remote up to one day per week. Job Summary This position supports the Marketing, Development, and Alumni Engagement offices with advanced administrative office support, secretarial support, and program coordination activities to serve students, the department, and the college. Essential Functions 15% – Schedules, prioritizes, coordinates and performs administrative office support activities related to meetings, events or office services. 15% – Assists with research, gathers information and provides coordination of activities and administrative support of projects, programs or services, including vendors. 10% – Monitors and tracks budgets, funding and expenditures; and assists with budget preparation. 10% – Communicates with internal and external resources regarding policy/procedural, event or program information. 10% – Receives and responds to inquiries and information requests, resolving issues or referrring requests to appropriate resource. 10% – Coordinates inventory and replenishment of office supplies, office equipment maintenance services, and branded promotional items. 5% – Researches, gathers, compiles and reviews data and information in support of assigned function, program, project or support area. 5% – Designs and formats complex documents; composes original documents, reports, correspondence and presentations. 5% – Prepares and maintains schedules, coordinates calendars, researches and makes travel arrangements. 5% – Oversees the maintenance of files, records, database information and documentation related to assigned area and according to established procedures. 5% – Adheres to applicable policies and procedures. 5% – Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of administrative office support or related experience providing a wide variety of secretarial, administrative office support, and/or administrative coordination activities. OR an equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full‑time work experience as described above sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job unless otherwise required by law or regulation. Desired Qualifications Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a Bachelor’s Degree. Experience providing administrative support for a marketing, development, alumni engagement, or institutional advancement department. Interest in growing knowledge and skillsets in any of the above areas to pursue greater responsibilities and contributions to the college’s success (career growth). One year of full‑time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years. Special Working Conditions Travel–related expenses to campus during the interview and selection process are the candidate’s responsibility; may be required to travel to other MCCCD locations. May be required to work evenings and weekends. May require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen. May require lifting or carrying up to 25lbs. Physical presence on campus required; partial remote work possible based on business needs.
