Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments by interviewing clients and documenting detailed case histories from initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to tailor personalized treatment plans that may include individual, couple, family, and group interventions.

• Lead individual therapy sessions utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic techniques, while also facilitating group therapy discussions that foster peer support and collective healing.

• Monitor client progress by regularly reviewing treatment plans and adjusting interventions as necessary, ensuring that clients advance towards their recovery goals.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to formulate synchronized intervention strategies, promoting comprehensive care.

• Conduct follow-ups with psychiatrists for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any emerging risk factors.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, providing education and support to enhance familial dynamics.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health therapy and methodologies to continuously deliver exceptional client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling services focus on a wide-ranging client population, dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with an understanding of various therapeutic approaches and modalities.

• Proficient with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms for effectively managing client documentation.

• Extensive knowledge of co-occurring disorders, including addiction, and their impact on mental health.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities that promote therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, with the potential for a sign-on bonus as an incentive for qualified candidates.
