Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Mindful Beginnings, your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose mental health disorders in individual clients, couples, and families, utilizing validated assessment tools.

• Facilitating therapy sessions that may involve individual counseling, couples therapy, or family therapy, tailored to the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Creating detailed and effective treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based interventions and regularly reviewing and adapting these plans for ongoing effectiveness.

• Providing crisis intervention services as needed, assessing clients in distress, and connecting them to appropriate resources or emergency services.
\n
• Recording and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of client records.

• Engaging in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and training to stay up to date with the latest in mental health treatment methodologies.

Your practice will involve working with a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals, couples, and families facing relationship issues, emotional challenges, and various mental health conditions. The diverse client population at our clinic reflects the multicultural nature of the Norwalk, Connecticut area. Qualifications\n

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut.

• Possess a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Have a minimum of four years of post-licensure experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.

• Exhibit an extensive knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities, as well as demonstrated experience in implementing these approaches effectively.

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, capable of building rapport quickly with clients and establishing a trusting therapeutic alliance.

Preferred Experience\n

Although not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who possess additional training or certifications in specialized treatment areas, such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and telehealth best practices is also advantageous as our services increasingly incorporate technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Mindful Beginnings Psychotherapy Services values our employees and offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
