Accounting Assistant II

Duda Farm Fresh Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant II to join our Accounting team in Belle Glade, FL. In this critical role, you will provide support to the Plant Controller by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting compliance with company policies, agricultural regulations, and accounting standards. This role will collaborate closely with managers, vendors, and the finance team to support daily business operations, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and close work orders daily ensuring accurate coding of labor, equipment, material, and production costs; accurately recording and allocating to the appropriate accounts and operational activities Provide timely resolution of work order closure issues by coordinating with operations, production, and management prior to closing work orders Review, code, and process vendor invoices daily in accordance with company policies and accounting procedures Enter and maintain data in DAX for inventory adjustments and movements on a weekly basis Review raw material and packaging inventories and identify items requiring cleanup, correction, or reconciliation Prepare and enter month‑end journal entries into DAX; assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities Maintain and update cost accounting and production tracking files to support operational and financial reporting Perform special projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferred Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, administrative support, data entry, preferably using DAX or similar ERP software Previous accounting experience in an agricultural, manufacturing, production environment is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain a high level of accuracy, and meet time‑sensitive deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation We offer an excellent benefit package as part of our total compensation, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holiday pay, and more.
