Step into an opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary school level for two full-time contract positions. These roles are focused on serving students in grades K-2 and require passionate educators who are committed to fostering supportive, inclusive learning environments. The assignments are set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through June 10, 2027, providing stability and continuity for both educators and students.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active special education teaching certification/licensure suitable for assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree; required to obtain emergency teaching permit, if needed
• Proven experience in school settings, preferably working in urban environments
• Demonstrates strong command of subject matter, instructional strategies, and use of diverse resource materials
• Ability to craft lesson plans that align with current state and district standards, utilizing formative assessments and differentiation strategies
• Skilled in managing classrooms effectively, including strong behavioral management techniques
• Must successfully complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation for consistent onsite presence
• Able to work onsite between 8:30AM and 4:00PM; no accommodations to scheduling available

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and aligned with state standards
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and administration to optimize student learning and progress
• Monitor, assess, and document student performance and adapt instruction to ensure success

These are onsite roles, and comfort with the district and local community is essential. Qualified applicants will go through a Zoom interview process.
