This position will primarily operate in a remote capacity, allowing for flexible work while ensuring accessibility to mental health services for our students. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings to evaluate students' mental health needs, aiming to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Provide short-term individual counseling and effective crisis intervention services to students facing diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, academic stress, and personal conflicts.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that address relevant topics like stress management, coping strategies, and personal development.

• Collaborate with academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations to ensure students receive a well-rounded support system.

• Participate in outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health resources available on campus, including wellness events and educational campaigns.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring documentation of all counseling sessions and interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population includes university students who face a variety of mental health challenges typical within an academic environment. Counselors will encounter a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and presenting issues, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in approach. Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Clinical Psychologist.
