As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering professional care, conducting evaluations, and developing tailored treatment plans to support individuals on their mental health journey.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including preliminary interviews to document patients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the initial consultation through the management of their treatment.

• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans for clients, which may include individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each plan aligns with their unique needs and circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that engage clients and promote active participation, helping them to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe environment.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain detailed records to support therapeutic goals.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare specialists—such as medical doctors, nurses, and social workers—to create a comprehensive approach to client care.
\n
• Coordinate follow-up sessions with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may obstruct clients' recovery efforts, offering strategies to support their progress.
\n
• Work with family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate mental behavioral challenges, enhancing the support network around each client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary client focus includes a diverse population, ranging from children to adults facing various mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a role similar to that of a mental health counselor, with a proven track record of successful client outcomes.

• Familiarity with underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to guide care delivery.

• Understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists and how they may impact mental health treatment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong empathy-driven approach to client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, and includes a sign-on bonus.
