Pay Range: $52,000 $58,000 annually
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Portland metro area, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with B2B collections experience who enjoys customer interaction, account analysis, cash collections, and problem-solving in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of B2B accounts receivable and oversee collections activities to reduce outstanding balances
- Research customer accounts, perform account reconciliations, and resolve billing discrepancies
- Partner with customers and internal teams to address payment issues and improve collection outcomes
- Forecast cash collections and maintain accurate reporting on aging accounts and collection status
- Monitor payments, apply cash activity, and ensure accurate account reconciliations
- Maintain and update accounting systems, spreadsheets, and Excel-based reporting tools
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, and month-end accounting processes as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, B2B Collections, Credit & Collections, or Customer Account Resolution
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze account activity, perform reconciliations, and manage reporting
- Solid communication skills and customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve issues professionally
