Key Responsibilities Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to meet client needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans through thorough assessments and understanding of client circumstances. Engage in crisis intervention strategies when required, showcasing your ability to respond effectively under pressure. Create and maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies, ensuring client confidentiality at all times. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals, engaging in interdisciplinary discussions to enhance client outcomes. Apply culturally competent approaches to therapy, ensuring that services are equitable and respectful of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions, contributing to case reviews and offering valuable insights for the collective improvement of treatment methodologies. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role as an LMFT will place you at the forefront of supporting a diverse client population facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will work primarily with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and other emotional struggles. Your expertise will directly influence their ability to cope and thrive, reinforcing the importance of your role in promoting mental health and wellness. Qualifications Must possess a valid LMFT license in the state of California. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required. At least 2 years of clinical experience, ideally involving direct work with individuals, couples, and families. Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Gottman Method. Exceptional communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills, necessary for effective client interaction and support. Previous experience using telehealth platforms is preferred, given the remote nature of the position. Preferred Experience Experience in varied therapeutic settings, including community health clinics or private practices. Background in working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or those facing PTSD or trauma. Familiarity with methods of client engagement and retention in a remote setting. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
