Work Environment This remote role allows you to enjoy the flexibility of a work-from-home setting while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive care team. Our therapists work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing structured hours that encourage work-life balance. You will have access to modern telehealth tools and resources to facilitate effective client interactions and maintain a seamless workflow. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ emotional and behavioral needs, focusing specifically on mood disorders and relationship issues. Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique goals and preferences of each client, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Provide ongoing therapy sessions, tailoring interventions based on client progress and feedback. Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them throughout their healing journey. Monitor client outcomes by tracking progress against treatment goals and adjusting plans as necessary for optimal mental health results. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients, promoting a comprehensive approach to treatment. Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices related to mental health therapies. Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality and integrity of records. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to contribute to collaborative learning and professional growth. Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and address stigma around mental health issues, ensuring that every individual feels valued and understood. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Meadville Behavioral Health, you will work primarily with couples and families dealing with a variety of issues, including divorce, relationship dynamics, and mood disorders. Your role will involve supporting clients to navigate their emotional struggles and fostering healthier interpersonal connections. By providing evidence-based therapy in an empathetic environment, you will play a crucial role in promoting relationship healing and individual growth. Qualifications A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop a trusting rapport with clients. Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage caseload effectively and uphold administrative responsibilities. Preferred Experience Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, or strategic therapy is highly desirable. Prior experience in dealing with divorce processing and relationship counseling will be advantageous. A passion for continuous learning and professional development in the field of mental health. Compensation and Benefits Annual salary range of USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
