Computer Operator II (2nd Shift)

Computer Operator II position supporting distribution operations at a pharmaceutical services company. Responsible for monitoring data processing systems, managing report distribution, performing equipment maintenance, and ensuring system backup operations on a second shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor computer systems, jobs, and connected devices; identify and resolve or escalate errors quickly
• Manage printing, output distribution, and report delivery to internal and external customers
• Produce daily system backups and execute backup utilities from disk to tape
• Set up, operate, and maintain peripheral devices such as printers and tape drives
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance and track supply utilization

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent technical vocational training in business, computer science, or related field
• 1-2 years directly related data processing or computer operations experience
• Proficiency with AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of data processing equipment and peripheral devices including printers and tape drives
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
