Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a positive impact in elementary education as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with elementary students, supporting their communication needs and contributing to their ongoing growth. Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and fellow professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license required
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience working in elementary schools preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students onsite
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track student progress
- Work collaboratively with classroom staff, families, and other specialists to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, report writing, and required documentation in accordance with district policies
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided
