Key Responsibilities\n

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Meet with clients via secure video chat sessions to address mental health concerns, fostering an environment conducive to open discussions about emotions, experiences, and insights.

• Employ solution-based approaches derived from your clinical expertise to evaluate clients’ mental states, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.

• Serve as an advocate for your clients, guiding them in defining their goals and encouraging their progress toward achieving these objectives.

• Utilize the therapy platform's dashboard for client management, ensuring that client interactions and sessions are logged accurately and efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a carefully selected client base consisting of stable adults presenting with low acuity mental health needs. Clients are screened to ensure they are appropriate for outpatient counseling services, which means you will not be dealing with severe mental health crises. This allows you to focus on achieving meaningful therapeutic outcomes without the challenge of handling high-risk situations. Additionally, clients are matched with counselors based on specialty areas and demographic preferences.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Full licensure in California, including but not limited to:

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
\n
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• Must be in good standing with the relevant state board and able to practice independently without supervision. Please note that limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, prior experience in online mental health counseling, familiarity with telehealth technologies, and a background working with adults managing stress, anxiety, or mild depression may be beneficial in this role.
