Here, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare providers, ensuring comprehensive support for each patient's journey to recovery.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including assessments of medical history and functional capabilities to create tailored rehabilitation plans.Effectively communicating evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal setting.Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols and closely monitoring patients' progress to adapt plans as necessary based on clinical judgment and patient feedback.Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to identify changes in patients' conditions and make necessary modifications to care plans.Managing discharge planning and follow-up care, documenting patient interactions in accordance with established procedures to provide clarity through the rehabilitation process.Exhibiting exceptional time management skills to maintain a productive schedule while participating in outreach activities to promote our services.Engaging in ongoing professional education and serving as a clinical mentor for students, fostering a culture of learning and excellence within the care team.Patient Population / Client FocusYour focus will encompass a diverse range of patients, from post-surgical orthopedic cases to those dealing with chronic pain or rehabilitation after injury. Understanding the unique needs of each case is critical, and you will be expected to approach every treatment with empathy and individualized attention, driven by the goal of empowering patients to achieve optimal physical function and quality of life.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must possess:A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or, ideally, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.A valid state license required for practice in New Jersey.Certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.A commitment to ongoing education and professional growth, demonstrated through participation in relevant training and workshops.Preferred ExperienceWhile prior experience is not strictly required, any background in orthopedic physical therapy, familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, or expertise in specialized treatment techniques will be advantageous.
